It looks like the resource editor is the only way. We need help from the Nokia UX experts.

    Re: Font size issue

I just sent my application to nokia for review, I used the resource editor to create the font:

1.-Installed nokia sans font in windows control panel, fonts
2.-Create the source of size 22 px in the resource editor
3.-Assign a UUID that source to the title of each list using a renderer

    Thanks for sharing it.

However, I think it should not be necessary to do that. If Nokia is promoting LWUIT to create user interfaces, it should be allowed to use the font sizes defined in it, and using them should not cause issues in the Store certification process (or in any case, the Nokia's LWUIT implementation should be modified to define constants for the font sizes they expect/want developers to use).

    What do other developers think?

LWUIT provides a facility, where you can add your own fonts to your application - using LWUIT resource editor - which allows you to create a font of smaller size - which can solve your problem.

    Refer to - http://docs.oracle.com/javame/dev-to.../resources.htm

    Re: Font size issue

Thanks for the reply. I have downloaded the lwuit 1.5 version while running resource editor jar file , it doesn't load. Guide me what I have to do. I am developing using java me and LWUIT. I have used small size font but it shows larger font in the mobile app. I am using this code. Is it right?
    Font font = Font.createSystemFont(Font.FACE_MONOSPACE, Font.STYLE_BOLD,
    Font.SIZE_SMALL);
Or shall I create custom fonts through coding. Guide me pls.

    Re: Font size issue

    Try - \LWUIT_1_5\resource_editor>java -jar ResourceEditor.jar

It should work, check your JDK version and let us know issue you are facing... is the file downloaded perfectly ?

Till Version 1.4 It was ResourceEdit.exe.
    thanks,
