    MMAPI: video playback

    Hi there,
has anyone some experience with the playback of video on the Nokia developer's Suite 2.0 / Series 60 Beta 0.3 emulator?
I want to deploy a streaming video solution on the 3650 with either mpg4 or real media streams and I cannot figure out how the URL must be formatted.
When I try to configure the player with an URL like rms://192.168.11.99/sample.mp4 or rms://192.168.11.99/video I get a IOException saying "bad url".

    Can anybody help me?

    Thanks a lot,
    Robert

Thanks a lot, I am now able to play *.3gp files from a resource as well as from a http-stream in the emulator (beta 0.3).
Does anyone know how to set up streaming video for the "rms" protocol?
    Another question:
When I try to deploy the video-application on a real 3650 the phone tells me that my jar is illegal / contains errors.
I assume this is because of the use of MMAPI elements? Does anyone know what firmware version I need to have for MMAPI-support and where I could upgrade the firmware within Germany?

    Thanks a lot again!

I have Version 2.5 and the MMAPI is present. I started a Server on my 3650 and streamed a local 3gp File via http://127.0.0.1/...

Hm, okay, I had another error in my jar, the MMAPI is working fine, I can stream a video from a resource, event though the manager says he supports no content-type at all for the protocol "resource"... ;-)
The only valid protocol for video/3gpp seems to be http.
Does anyone know a streaming server which can encode such a content on the fly and offer it over http?
Additionally the 3650 seems to support the content-type video/vnd.nokia.interleaved-multimedia. Does anyone know more about this?

    cheers,
    - Robert

    Hm,

I'm using Helix Universal Basic Server for streaming video. But I couldn't stream the content to the J2ME MMAPI Emulator.

Hai Does any body knows how to use custom DataSource method for the protocol to stream..

    TQ.

    Hey TelekomAhmed,
could you be so kind to give me details about how you set up the Helix Universal Basic Server?
And were you able to receive streaming video over HTTP on the 3650?

    Thanks a lot,
    Robert
