    Refer to - http://developer.nokia.com/Resources...n-java-me.html

The platform Launches the Mail native application. If a valid mail account has been set up, the recipient’s address is filled with the mailto value.

Test on real device after setting up the email A/c.

Are you able to setup any email A/c working on the emulator ? If no.. that you cannot test it on emulator - try on real device or RDA after setting up an email A/c - it will work. (if the device has native email client and a/c setup)

For correct way of using Platform Request refer to http://developer.nokia.com/Community...quest()_method

Which device are you testing it on ?
(I have used it on S60 - Nokia N95 in past and it use to work for me)

To launch NokiaMail client on your device from your java app - you can also try something like this -

platformRequest("javaapp:midlet-name=NokiaStore;midlet-vendor=Nokia"); // used to launch NokiaStore

change- NokiaStore =with= name of the Email Client java app on the device, see if the email client is launched ?

You need to see on the device on which you are trying to use it - it will be available in the applications list/grid view below the app icon.

    Hi

It is mentioned here : http://developer.nokia.com/Resources...n-java-me.html

that "mailto" will open up either the E-mail or the MMS editor.Apparently you are getting the second one all the time.So possibly, a valid mail account is not setup !

If all else fails, may I suggest you to create a server side script like PHP, which will help you in emailing the required content. It is easier to do it there.
