Lumia 925 doesn't gives the orientation information

    Hi there,

    I'm developing with lumia 925.
When I capture a picture using PhotoCamera class of Windows Phone API,
Lumia 925 doesn't gives the orientation information within EXIF of the captured image.
But other devices(Lumi 820, 710, htc 8s) are properly gives the information.

    Is it a bug?

on 900, i know you haven't always this property ( depend how you acces the stream). When it's not available; normally it's always the same orientation. Imagind SDK properly manages this orientation property.

Re: Lumia 925 doesn't gives the orientation information

I've noticed that the same on Lumia 620 and 920 after updating the devices to 8.0.10328.78.

ExifOrientation value from PhotoCamera stream ( using Exiflib ) is always TopLeft, no matter how i hold the phone.
I tested my code on 720 and with OS 8.0.10211.204 it still returns "correct" Orientation data.
("correct" as the data is different in WP7 devices... and my app was originally a WP7 app, so i had to do a fix/workaround for WP8 when WP8 was released )

Now this is really annoying because i use the Exifs orientation data to rotate the picture, so the picture would be shown correctly to the user in my app.
So if WP8 users of my app, update their devices, my app will not behave correctly, if the users use the camera feature of the app holding their phone in "portrait"

If anyone knows a workaround or a fix for this, i would really like to hear about it as soon as possible.

Re: Lumia 925 doesn't gives the orientation information

    Hi.
When orientation is not given it's normally TopLeft for WP7 and WP8.

PS: I have a problem with the first WP8 firmware (opposite orientation) . But after an update, orientation works correctly.
