(Yes, as I am usually logged into my Google account with Chrome, I explicitly checked with a neutral browser to make sure that the Wiki page is really the first hit, not just a personalized hit for me).

Re: How to apply server side push notification in asha 501

I am able to send notification id to the server but i m not able to get notifications on my phone asha 501. Also in Notifications API Developer Console there are three options sandbox, production, production in china.
I have created service id . In sandbox it is coming ACTIVE(with revoke button under it) and on production it is coming N/A.
Are there any changes i have to make since server is not able to send notification on my phone?

When i tried it on real device asha 501, environment option that i have seen on emulator is not coming there.
I implemented same code as in http://developer.nokia.com/Community...tware_platform zip file.

As oniongarlic pointed out, you must set the correct environment on your device. Did you install the Environment selector MIDlet on your Asha 501?

Do notifications work if you try to send them from the Developer Console?

Also, are you using the PHP code posted on the Wiki page on your server side, or something else?

Re: How to apply server side push notification in asha 501

    Hi jappit,
Yes i m using the same PHP code used in the wiki page and even using same program.
Yes notifications work when i tested it in midlet.

Also i have a bit of confusion in environment selector midlet , there is nnaclientexample program(Environment selector that u have given) in it i have installed that on my phone . Biut still i m not getting sandbox environment on my phone. What to do?

What i think is the only issue i m facing is that i m not able to make it sandbox in phone...as i did in emulator. Recent results of app run are giving following
    Status
Online(Production)......even NNAClient example is showing online(Production)

The linked zip file actually contains the environment selector MIDlet in the "EnvironmentSelector/" subfolder: right there you can find the EnvironmentSelector.jar and EnvironmentSelector.jad files. Have you installed those, and selected the sandbox environment via that app?

    Thanks for the reply jappit.
I am getting notifications on my phone now. But that happened due to environment selector jar. How will user install it because i dont think it is available in asha 501 phone by default.
Also though i m receiving notification but still error is coming at server side(same error i mentioned below)

When you distribute an app to users, you must only use the production enironments (global or China, depending on where your user is located). So, there's actually no need for users to install the environment selector MIDlet.

As for the error, I've got no clues at the moment: if the notification is received you should get no errors on your server side. I'll try to do some tests to see if I get similar results.
