    LWUIT: Tabs with soft keyboard

    I have an app using LWUIT for Series 40. Some forms use Tabs. In these forms, I want to hide the tabBar when the soft keyboard is shown. How can I achieve this?

    A FocusListener on the TextField does not work, because if the user hides the keyboard by pressing the return key, the TextField does not lose focus and there is no opportunity to show the tabs again.

    Hi

    Use the following code

    Code:

            VirtualKeyboard.setVisibilityListener(new KeyboardVisibilityListener() {

               public void showNotify(int keyboardCategory)
               {
                   System.out.println("Showing");
               }

               public void hideNotify(int keyboardCategory)
               {
                   System.out.println("Hiding");
               }
           });

    Thanks for your response! VirtualKeyboard does not have a setVisibilityListener method for me.

    Also when I look at the source code for VirtualKeyboard, I don't see the setVisibilityListener method in there.

    Yep, that's it. There are two VirtualKeyboards.

    Thanks so much!
