    Re: RouteQuery options

Sorry about my bad memory, I have done examples with Maps APIs for quite a many different platforms, and appears that indeed this particular one is not offerign those routing options. It only has Drive/Walk, and Shortest/Quickest settings, as well as the original direction you can set before askign for the route between waypoints.

However "HERE Drive+" app uses highways, ferries etc... These features are available only in "HERE" apps...? I would like to use it in my app :-)

    Re: RouteQuery options

The additional settings are indeed available in the Bacjend, and for example are also available via Java ME API, anyhow, as the class mentioned here does not have those parts implemented in it, then it means that they are not usable with it.

All, and all, if you want to simply use functionality from the HERE Apps, then check the Launchers API defined for that purpose: http://developer.nokia.com/Resources...avigation.html

But what about phones without "HERE" apps? :-)

    Re: RouteQuery options

as said also in the docs, The Url scheme protocol woks in a way, that if the handler application (one of the HERE apps in this case) is not installed into the device, then the system will open Market place application and forward the protocol query to it. Then the market place will perform search for handler application and show the user list of application which could handle the protocol. And then the user can select whether he/she would want to install any of the found handlers.

Yes, I know, but it is not a good solution.

that's how it works. anyway which parts of it are you having problems ? in general it works fine, the user needs to only install the app once.
