How to hide image which is set on component

I am working on s40 app. I recently applied animation with few png images.
I want that animation to show when particular condition is true and for the rest of the conditions i want to hide it.

When i deregistered animation , animation turned into single image. I want to remove or hide this image form that component(label in my case).

    So how to do it

You could try setIcon with null, or with an empty image.
