Please explain the whole process involved in it. Does it costs? If so how much?

whom should be contacted for that singing?

Valid and vital question. Answer: Invitation only.
Start with getting an appointment with one of the top-tier executives within Nokia. The second, parallel path, issue a paid technical support ticket.

As you see, we cannot help here, therefore my question: Why do you need it? Perhaps we find a work-arond together.

IMEI number fetching does not require manufacturer signing, thus have you tried checking our wiki for exmaple codes already ?

Here's one example to get you started: http://developer.nokia.com/Community...-Synchronously though I would do it syncronously instead, since it makes the app more responsive

    OK, you cannot do that.
Consequently, my next question: Why do you need the IMEI? For example, for copyright protection? Or for the OMA CP (SMS provisioning of settings) MAC calculation?

If you want to use it as a UID for the device, you can try to get the Bluetooth address using J2me JSR 82.... you can get in all the devices and use it.

    Of device or user?
If you want to authenticate even the device, create a random number (with the help of your server and HTTPs). Actually, the correct way (standard) would be BouncyCastle and a client TLS certificate, because Series 40 does not support client TLS certificates natively. Anyway, why do you need the IMEI for this?

If this is the interactive application with the server then you can even generate that unique number (approx 16 digit or more) at the server side and then can cache the same. Now you can use that number as the device id.

Please check and revert if you have any other concern.
