Exclamation WebService Error (with SSL Certificate and NTLM Authentication

    Hi,
I try to connect my webservice in my Windows Phone app but it returns 401 error. The interesting side, when I adapt codes that in my Windows Phone app, to a Windows Form app, and I add
    Code:
    <transport clientCredentialType="Windows"/>
o app.config, it is run correctly. But, I do not determine "clientCredentialType" in C# or service.config in the Windows Phone app.

What should I do? Please help.

PS: My WebService contains Ntlm Authentication and SSL Certificate.

Maybe this presentation here can be of help: http://www.google.ch/url?sa=t&rct=j&...44342787,d.ZWU

According to that WP8 does support NTLM authentication (WP7 does not - so it depends on what platform version you're targeting). On Page 55 the presentation shows how to add the login credentials in case you're not doing that at the moment. Given that you don't have a Domain name and Domain user associated with your Windows Phone it can't do pass-through authentication using NTLM like it can on the Desktop.

It would also help to give an overview of what you're trying to do?

...using NTLM for any form of authentication in app or via the web is a bad idea, as there are better, more modern, approaches to take.

(I see this person is spamming StackOverflow as well, not a good sign)

First of all, I had to solve because this app is app of the company that I am working. Secondly, I am not spamming. I've just explained my problem with different ways.
    Thanks.

    Thanks.
Both questions on StackOverflow should be combined, explaining something in a different way is not enough reason to create a 2nd question.

    I suggest...

    1. You explain the problem a little more, what you're trying to achieve and what's currently not working
    2. Explain what you've tried and what libraries you've used

Questions that simply ask 'solve my problem for me' are less likely to get answer on here or StackOverflow.
