Where did you download it from? And what version are you referring to?

Try https://developer.nokia.com/info/sw....119a2b4cb.html and see if you get the right file.

Quite frankly I have failed to understand what you are saying..but here is something that you want to check and maybe find it useful http://developer.nokia.com/Community...arbide.c%2B%2B

short note: you get sis/sisx only when the build process goes fine..so dont expect you to have sis/x file before successful build. Also to see on emulator you just need to build to winscw udeb.

Another note:Hope you are aware that no new Symbian content is supported on the store nor can you get a developer certificate to sign it unless you already have one..well self-signed is still alright for personal use if capabilities allow, but not accepted on store anyway!!( check http://developer.nokia.com/Blogs/New...e-nokia-store/ for details)

    Re: Carbide.c

I do not remember the Open C console thing, but it is true that Carbide.c++ v3.x has no UI designer. If you want to try it, you will need v2.x.
The two versions can co-exist, just specify separate workspace folders for them.

    Re: Carbide.c

The above link to carbide no longer works and it I cannot see anywhere in the resources site where carbide can be downloaded.

I had to set up a new PC and my old copy of carbide.c++ v3.2 will not allow CODA to work over WiFi. I eventually found this message explaining the problem http://developer.nokia.com/community...onnection-mode and could confirm my dying PC which at one time was able to upgrade from v3.2 to v3.3 does allow CODA over WiFi to work. Now my problem is the upgrade occurred within the package but no standalone installer was supplied so I cannot re-install on a new PC.

I have attempted copying the folder structure across and that mostly works but I am getting (naturally) odd behavior (no loading screen) and start up errors (device discovery load errors). I am concerned there may be more serious problems less apparent.

Can anyone tell me where I can get a carbide v3.3 installer from?

Some of the archived tools were added to http://developer.nokia.com/community...ymbian_C%2B%2B, but it seems to be v3.2 too.

    Re: Carbide.c

Thanks Wizard. The actual link to the carbide download does not work so you cannot get 3.2 either.

Unfortunately the update site embedded in Carbide no longer links either http://tools.ext.nokia.com/carbide/updates/3.0

    Re: Carbide.c

Fortunately it is just a wrong link.
It was some .../downloads/download/3431, while the others below follow the slightly redundant pattern .../downloads/download/x?id=x, adding the ?id=3431 makes it working: http://developer.nokia.com/downloads...d/3431?id=3431
But then it brings a page repeating that it is 3.2
EDIT: hopefully I fixed the link in the article too

Well done Wizard but no idea how to access v3.3 or to update v3.2 within itself?

A fix for this link perhaps? http://tools.ext.nokia.com/carbide/updates/3.0

My recollection of the past technology is not so good, but if I remember well, you dont need to configure epoc.ini really. What error are you getting for starting epoc from command line? Did you run 'Configure environment for WINSCW command line' which you might find in the carbide.c++ group?

Now that is something that I dont know, nor can I verify. But since support for carbide.c++ has been long withdrawn, I would not be surprised if you cannot get one.

I may stand corrected if anything said about are otherwise
