    A Question about .Pdf document

    Hi,,

    I would like to know how to open and create .pdf document. I am using the following code :

    public MainPage()
    {
    InitializeComponent();
    OpenPDFFile();
    }
    public async void OpenPDFFile()
    {
    // StorageFile pdfFile = await Windows.ApplicationModel.Package.Current.InstalledLocation.GetFileAsync("test.pdf"); // ( pdf file stored inside the project folder.)
    StorageFolder local = Windows.Storage.ApplicationData.Current.LocalFolder;
    StorageFile pdffile = await local.GetFileAsync("test.pdf");

    // Launch the pdf file.
    Windows.System.Launcher.LaunchFileAsync(pdffile);
    }

    But my app is getting crashed at the point where I am calling async function. Could u pls tell me the correct file path (or the location at which I can save the file.) Am I using the correct API class to open and launch the application. Pls guide me regarding this.

    thanks,
    Aswathy.

    Re: A Question about .Pdf document

    Hi,,

    Could anybody pls tell me how to launch a doc file (.pdf file) . It was able to create a sample .pdf file and read the data. But I couldn't launch the .pdf file. Which Task class API's can I use.
    Is there any such task/doc launcher app/class in WP7 and WP8.

    thanks,
    Aswathy.A.D.
