socket connection on 6800 (40 series)

hi...i know that there exists a lot of threads about nokia phones and socket connection...
but on all not really a solution...i want to have the icq version from mobicq.de on my new nokia 6800 phone, and now to my question the 6800 is part of the 40 series an 40 series actually supports socket, so where is the problem???, we can't find any api documentation, only the sun's
but mapd is a standard (but actually mapd doesen't support socket - bost java mapd 1.0 aupports sockets) so what is the real problem and how can i get this icq working on my 6800???
    thanks markus

    Hello

There was a problem with the sockets in 6800 when i
    installed Virca IRC-client http://www.vidarholen.net/contents/virca/ to
my 6800. After some serious debugging found out that the communication is synchronous for some reason....
Virca got now a polling feature to avoid that problem, check the code.

hmmmm why does nokia ALWAYS never implement the important stuff. i mean think of the possibilities with a full socket implementation, i mean ICQ, msn, u name it .....should be all programmable..

    I h8 nokia for THIS...
