    Serial communication (GlassTerm and beyond)

    Hi there.

I've been studying Symbian's serial communication principles for a while now. GlassTerm example is quite clear to me, but I'd like to go a bit further.

GlassTerm prints the incoming characters to console as soon as they are being received. If I know the syntax of the incoming data, but not the length of it, what would be the right way to

    1) append following characters into a buffer after the beginning character is being received, and

    2) print the content of the buffer at once when the last character is being received?

    Thanks in advance!

Check the SDK Help, and there...

API Guide -> Serial Comms -> Using Serial Communications Server Client-Side -> Configuring Ports -> How to configure a port for efficient reading
