    Hi Gorgia,
I do believe the client sw for the 7650 is the same, therefore it should work. There are some known issues that you can find searching the Sync4j and sync4j-users list archives.

    strage things

All it is installed and the db is ok (the test doesn't work and the error is referring to db... but i think it is not true 'cause the db was created).
When I try to sync from my phone (3650) the server doesn't log anythings and the phone give me sync error.
So I think that there are some misspelling configuration regarding the nameserver or something else.
It 's possible to know wich is the correct file to configure?
Is it install.properties in the Sync4j/sync4j-1.0
    or is it Sync4j/sync4j-1.0/default/install.properties ?
    or Sync4j/sync4j-1.0/default/config/properties/config/Sync4j.properties
    or Sync4j/sync4j-1.0/config/Sync4j.properties ?
I have installed the jboss bundled version of Sync4j?.
    Thanks al lot.

    All ok...

    It was a router problem.
Now the only problem tha I have is that the sync fail after 60 or 65 vcontact send from 3650 to sync4j server.
Where I put the error log, here or in the other mailing-list?
Is it right to change the timeout in the jboss server?
If yes how may I do it?
    thanxs a lot

    Sync4j client for 7650

It is said that Sync4j is tested with nokia 7650 and at the download site it is clearly mentioned that Sync4j server is pure java solution. Now my question is how can i sync the address book in my 7650 phone to my pc and vice versa. I didnt got any saple for the kind i'm looking for. Please help me possibly with a code sample of how to create a java client on 7650 to sync the address book to pc.

    thanks inm advance

    Hi,
Sync4j is a server side solution, based on the starndard synchronization protocol SyncML. This means:

    1) you can sync with your pc if you install on it the server and your PC is visible from internet

    2) you do not need a java SyncML client on your phone, you can use the one provided by Nokia (althougth it is a bit buggy).

    Hi Stefano,

Congratulations for reaching 1.0 with your SyncML server.

I'm 100% with sridhar's remark and would object to your points 1) and 2) though. A different SyncML client than Nokia's would be a great thing to have.

Indeed, and as you said Nokia's client is a bit buggy and worst of all it does not support local sync (even using tricks such as the fake GPRS connection over Bluetooth) !! And there is no way most of us will be able to make our desktop machines visible from the Internet...

Unfortunately the big problem with the development of such a client in Java is that there is no way to have access to the Calendar from MIDP...

    Cheers.
