    App. closed jes-7a2-Connect ionsEventServer@1..

    I'm trying to may a HTTP connection and on the second request , the app crashes with the following error...

    App. closed jes-7a2-Connect ionsEventServer@1..

    Anyone have any ideas? It doesn't hit the server before it crashes so it never makes a network connection. This is also a worker thread that does the downloading
    and is being tested on a Nokia 3650.

    Thanks

    This is mainly because the GPRS connection is not available.
    What you need to do is copy the access point that you are using and edit the Gateway address to 0.0.0.0. Then use that edited Access point.

    If you still face any problem do let me know, we will try something else then.

    We've actually tired this already.

    The thing that is strange is...

    if i do a POST 300-400 chars and download a large data set. it crashes.

    if i do a POST but only return a a small data set it seems to work fine.

    I also set the "Content-Length" header to make sure chunking was off since other phones have that issue.

    Any ideas?

    Do you get the content length of the data which you are reading.
    How much is it when the app crashes.
    I hope you are not directly doing

    inputstream.read(contentlength)

    because if content length is suppose 500 there is a possibility that it would only read 300 and return. At this time you will have to keep on reading

    while ((ch = InStream.read()) != -1)
    {
    data[i]=(byte)ch;
    i++;
    }

    I dont know if this will solve your problem, but i guess you should check this thing.

    No, I'm not reading the full content. And even if i did.. Why would this cause an "App Closed"?

    I'm using in.read( byte[] ) and checking for -1..

    Is there some limit on the amount of data that can be returned?

    This app works fine on other Nokia phones.

    It also works fine it I do a smaller post of data. So if my post'd data is ~75 chars it works fine. It is ~400 chars it crashes.
