Start a J2ME application by OTA

    Hello!

I would like to start an J2ME application when the user clicks on a WAP page. As far as I concern, it is impossible to do it from the wml page. Am I right?

So, I have though to do it by OTA. Then, when the user clicks on the WAP page, an HTTP request is sent to the WEB server and this sends an OTA message "start J2ME application" to the mobile, which start the desired J2ME application.

    Is it possible?

    Thanks in advance

    Héctor

    Hi,

It may be possible using MIDP 2.0 Push Registry feature.
Please find more information for example http://wireless.java.sun.com/midp/articles/pushreg/

    Best Regards,
