    What are PANICs used for?

    May i know what panics are used for?
    Example frm the btdiscoverer.cpp example:

    Panic(EBTDiscoveryAttributeRequest);

    where EBTDiscoveryAttributeRequest is defined somewhere in Btdiscovery.pan ( i guess pan has something to do with panics)

    What exactly does it do? Is it emulator specific, or works on the device as well? I'm not very clear,

    Thanks....

    Panics are commonly used to terminate a program when it detects a programming error (for example, invalid data passed to a function). It works both on emulator and target. Technically a panic is a call to User::Panic with a supplied panic category name and panic number. You can use the name and number to figure out what went wrong.
