    3650 and utf-8

    I try to crate an UTF-8 encoded XHTML page for a Nokia 3650 (it contains hugarian characters):

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>test</test>
    </head>
    <body>
    <p>&#195;&#161;rv&#195;&#173;zt&#197;¡Àr&#197;¡® t&#195;&#188;k&#195;&#182;rf&#195;&#186;r&#195;&#179;g&#195;&#169;p</p>
    <p>&#195;RV&#195;ZT&#197;¡ãR&#197; T&#195;œK&#195;¨CRF&#195;šR&#195;¡°G&#195;¡ëP</p>
    </body>
    </html>

    But the hungarian characters are not represented well on the phone.

    Any ideas?

    Hi,

    I think there's a small mistake in your code, the closing tag for <title> is </test> instead of the correct </title>.

    In addition, it is correct link to XHTML Mobile Profile's DTD is :
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//WAPFORUM//DTD XHTML Mobile 1.0//EN" "http://www.wapforum.org/DTD/xhtml-mobile10.dtd" >

    With regards to the display of the characters, it is dependant on the Language and Font support in the device for the UI and character transcoders for the encoding support. Hence some characters might display a little oddly if the support for a particular character does not exist.

    Best Regards,
