    SyncML and 3300?

Is there a way to sync a 3300 to a PC? Is there SyncML software for WinXP?
Are there other methods of synchronizing a 3300 (it has neither IR nor Bluetooth, but it does have a data cable)?

    Hi!

There is no SyncML in Nokia 3300 (Europe). Nokia 3300 US does.

    Java SyncML client for 3300

Would it be possible to write a Java program that gives the Nokia 3300 SyncML capabilities?

If not are there any other ways to sync contacts, calender and Todo with some an application running on Windows, Linux or Mac.

    Hi!

I doubt, but you could ask Java areas for more details.

It seems odd that in the device specifications on the Nokia site the 3300 does indeed have SyncML.

So is this just marketing hocus pocus?

(there is also no PC Suite, thought the 3300 ships with a DKU-5 cable to transfer music... and which is also used by other phone models to do synchronization.

I am a pretty frustrated and feel somewhat "tricked" into buying this otherwise pretty cool phone.

    Hi!

Where does it say that is a SyncML enabled phone?

At the product specification pages (http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,8764,5820,00.html) is nothing...?

I found the SyncML info in the "Organization" section on the U.S. site:

    Hi again!

I found out that Nokia 3300 (US version) has a SyncML client, but Nokia 3300 (Europe, Africa, APAC) does not.

I also found out that it's the same implementation as there is in Nokia 5100 US.

Interesting, so does that mean there is a way to sync it with Outlook? Forgive me for being a bit naive, but I'm not familiar with SyncML, so wondering where to get and how to use this "client". For example, is there a website where I can enter contact info and then sync it with the phone? Or is there something I can do using the supplied data client?

    Thanks for any further information!
