    Cominicating with Nokia 6610??

    I have some questions:
My goal is to communicate with my Nokia 6610 using serial communication, not USB.

Is it possible to comunicate over RS-232 with e.g a Nokia 6610?

If not, how do I communicate?

Can I program in C++ with "Developer Platform 1.0 for series 40"?
If not, wich Dev.Platform to use?

Can I send AT commands to the device?

Wher do I find specifications for the mobile connections, protocolls and more?

Does enyone have code to inspire me with(in c++)?

Hi folks, I hope these answers will help you with your work:

Q: Is it possible to comunicate over RS-232 with e.g a Nokia 6610?
A: Yes, use the Nokia PC Connectivity SDK v3.0 for this. URL: http://www.forum.nokia.com/main/0,6566,034-20,00.html

Q: Can I send AT commands to the device?
A: Yes, but the Connection Manager and the tray icon must not run, because both use the Phone API, which will block the serial port and you can not connect directly.

    > Where do I find specifications for the mobile connections, protocolls and more?
Look at the "Developer Resources" page: http://www.forum.nokia.com/main/0,6566,40,00.html

Q: Does enyone have code to inspire me with(in c++)?
A: There are loads of docs and samples within the SDK, I think that's enough inspiration.
