    Pixel format question

    Hi!
I have a little question: why the TYPE_BYTE_332_RGB is declared in the Nokia UI, but it isn't supported? I haven't found a phone that works with that pixel format. I think that using TYPE_BYTE_332_RGB I'll save a lot of memory, because all my images use less than 256 colours, and using a short for each pixel is expensive. What can I do?
Thanks and sorry for my english,
    r3d

Because nobody promised that this or that format must be supported. Even more, most of the phones support just few formats from the whole set.

You can store your images in PNG and convert them to TYPE_BYTE_332_RGB if it's available. If it is not, try some other inexpensive format. If it also doesn't work, you'll have to fall back to native format
