    Problem download via OTA

    Hi!

I wanted to download a java application onto a 3510i, but i have got the message, that "the file type cannot be identified".

I had no problem to download the same application onto my n-gage.

Has anybody an idea what could be wrong ?

    Thanks

Sounds like a MIME type issue. The following MIME types have to be configured on the server where you host the MIDlet:
    jad : text/vnd.sun.j2me.app-descriptor
    jar : application/java-archive
This means that when the web-server is queried for a file with the extension jad it should return text/vnd.sun.j2me.app-descriptor as the content type. If you don't know how to configure MIME types search the forum, it has been asked and answered a bunch of types.
I guess the N-Gage is less picky about MIME types. I know the Series 30 and 40 phones are not as forgiving.

    Hi!

I will check the MIME-Types. I thought if i can download on n-gage the MIME-Types should be installed on the server.

    Thanks
