    Can MIDP2.0 (eg:N6600) access Gallery ?

    Hi,

I wanna to develop one midlet to play the media files which is supported by MMA. But I've no ideas how to retrieve the file list from the Gallery for user to choose and play. Does MIDP2.0 has the right ? If Yes, it can access data in phone memory and card memory ?

    Thanks.

Usually there is no access to any files outside the jar. Some phones allow this, some with extension APIs (a few Siemens handies I know of), some with the generic connection framework (I think there are some iDEN models), but with most you have no access. I haven't heard of any Nokia models that allow access outside of the jar.

    Hi,

    According to MMA document,

DataSource can be built from an InputStreamor from a URL-style locator:

    ¨Chttp://something.com/somefile.wav

¨Ccapture://video (displays video from the phone¡¯s built-in camera)

    ------------------------------------------------------------

So at least we can put in capture://video to display video from phone's built-in camera.
