    implementing a selector (menu) through subclassing lcdui.Screen?

    The looks of the highlevel components don't suite the rest of my game and hence I need to implement a menu that suits better.... Does it make sense to use and subclass the highlevel components such as Screen, Command and Commandlistener. Any hints on how to do that?
    Or would it be easier to write one from scratch?

    On MIDP 2.0 devices you can try using CustomItem subclasses for something like that. But on MIDP 1.0, you won't have any choice but to write everything from scratch (on a Canvas, of course).
