    CEikRichEditor flags myths

    Code:
    iEditor->SetAknEditorFlags
    (
      EAknEditorFlagFixedCase| //Set up the Allowed Cases
      EAknEditorNullInputMode|
      EAknEditorFlagDefault|
      EAknEditorFlagEnableScrollBars|	// Set up the scroller
      EAknEditorFlagNoEditIndicators|
      EEikEdwinDisplayOnly|
      EEikEdwinAllowPictures|
      EEikEdwinAvkonNotEditable|
      EEikEdwinNoHorizScrolling|
      EEikEdwinReadOnly|
      EEikEdwinAvkonDisableCursor
    );
    It seems that I always work with editors and character/literatal related work ;p

    Now I am work with CEikRichEditor, which is a perfect one and documented since SymbianOS 7.0s Developer Library.
    But there is still fuzzy things confuzing me.
    The function is AVKON related, and can not be found in any document but example code from Nokia. and the Flags are grouped into Akn-related and Eik-related. In my understanding, Akn means Nokia, and Eik means Symbian. They are in different layers. But there are three flags have the same meaning
    ReadOnly, DisplayOnly, NotEditable, but none of them working
    and DisableCursor still won't working...

    I doubt if it works in .RSS file though i can have a try by myself, or can any expert explain me this...
    Thanks in advance!!!

    Regards

    originally, i hope there might be some master/expert could come this afternoon to answer me this question, but without luck...

    So I have to shutdown my emulator and modify the .RSS file with the EDWIN flags but not use them in runtime to have a lookat the effect.
    The truth is...
    it worked in .RSS file.

    So anybody who might happen on this problem, remeber try to move some flags from runtime creating to .RSS files.

    Hope this helps
    Regards
    kcome
