    Problem with Series 90 application icon

    Hi Everybody,

    I am developing application using Series 90.

    My simple application works fine,but when i try to set application icons,it appears properly & if i tried to run the application it shows the "Currupt" message.

    I am setting application icon using following line in .mmp file

    AIF myaifFile.aif img myrssaif.rss c8 icon_small.bmp icon_small_m.bmp icon_large.bmp icon_large_m.bmp

    (Where img is my image folder)

    If i removes above line from .mmp file , then my application works properly.

    What can be problem?

    One more thing , what should be size of icons in Series90?

    Thanks.
    Manish

    I checked the documentation for series 60 and it says this for simple hello-application:

    aif hello.aif \hello\aif\ hello.rss c8 hello.bmp hellom.bmp

    so.. does your img-folder need \ before that and maybe the app folder name too..?? and maybe you should name the folder aif too...

    Regards,
    Teija

    Here is example how to define AIF:

    AIF theApp.aif ..\aifsrc theApp.rss c8 applic.bmp mask.bmp applic_list.bmp applic_list_mask.bmp

    where:
    - theApp is your application name
    - ..\aifsrc is folder where aif resource file can be found
    - theApp.rss is resource file name in that aifsrc folder, where your application is defined. Here is an example:

    [\aifsrs\theApp.rss]
    RESOURCE AIF_DATA
    {
    app_uid=0x1234567;
    caption_list=
    {
    CAPTION
    {
    code=ELanguage;
    caption="theApp"
    }
    };
    num_icons=2;
    embeddability=KAppNotEmbeddable;
    }

    - c8 means number of bits used in icon. Use more bits if target device supports more that 8 bits.
    - applic.bmp mask.bmp applic_list.bmp applic_list_mask.bmp
    Four bitmap files.

    Take care that your aif resource corresponds your AIF statement in MMP file. Take also care that your folder structure corresponds to those definition.

    theApp\group\theApp.mmp
    theApp\aifsrc\theApp.rss // defines aid resourse
    theApp\group\theApp.rss // defines application resource

    Hi ,

    Aif line should be like this one :
    AIF AppName.aif ..\aif AppName.rss c8 context_pane_icon.bmp context_pane_icon_mask.bmp list_icon.bmp list_icon_mask.bmp

    Context icon Size :64x50
    List icon Size : 25x20

    Muhammad...
