Hi! I've been having a problem while running an XHTML page trying to add some layers. I'm running the Nokia DTD:
(<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//NOKIA//DTD XHTML Mobile +CHTML 1.0//EN" "http://www.nokia.com/dtd/xhtml-mp-chtml.dtd">)
and I've inserted a layer by adding a division and identifying it's position:
<div id="Layer1" style="position:absolute; width:1px; height:1px; z-index:0; left: 100px; top: 70px; visibility: visible;">
<a href="prueba.xhtml"><img src="anyimage.gif" alt="My image" /></a></div>
The thing is that the browser does not repsect the parameters "left" and "top" even though the NMIT 4.0 validation does not mark me an error while introducing those parameters.
I really need a way in which I can introduce separate layers by specifying the absolute position of an image because I'm developing an application that places images over a map and the coordinates are retrieved form a database, so I don't know if I can use this method or if you know of another method to solve this problem.
Thanks in advance!
