    Content type

    HI!

    Does someone know the value of "Content Type field" in Multipart header for a clip audio? (format WAVE)
    I didn't find it anywhere!
    (For example: for image/jpg is 0x1E... )

    Thanks! Ivan

    Hi!

    Have a look to the well-known content type tokens from http://www.openmobilealliance.org/tech/omna/index.htm

    Additional question about content-type.

    I saw in the real packet there's a content-type "0xa3", which is not listed on the web site. You have any idea about that?

    And also, in ethereal, there's something like:

    Content-Type: application/vnd.wap.multipart.related; type=application/smil; start=<AAAA>

    How this be encoded?

    Help is appreciated. Thanks a lot.

    Content type "0xA3"

    Hi,
    Token "0xA3" means "application/vnd.wap.multipart.mixed". It is the content type for a MMS without SMIL.

    You can find it in the document WAP WSP 203 "Table 40: Content Type Assignments"

    In the column "Assigned Number" you'll find :
    "application/vnd.wap.multipart.mixed" 0x23, that you must encode as "short integer" (i.e. 0x23 ----> 0xA3)

    For example:
    Content type for MMS with SMIL
    "application/vnd.wap.multipart.related" 0x33 ---> 0xB3

    Ivan.
