    string constant

    how can i create a string constant say KServerName in a header file

    in win32, we can simply write in this way,

    const string KServerName = "www.yahoo.com";

    but it doesn't seem to work in Symbian...

    Can anybody give me a little hint?
    Thanks in advance

    Yes, in symbian there isn't readymade string class. Actually in win32 isn't too but in stl, mfc and wtl have.

    Instead string you should use descriptors (more can found from SDK help):

    _LIT(KServerName,"www.yahoo.com");

    and cosider also to place strings to resource file, just like in windows can also be done.
