Sharewire: distribute your apps through premium SMS.

    Dear group,

You've created a killer app for mobile phones. What now?

Sharewire can help you sell your applications through premium sms, ivr, credit card and PayPal. After a succesful transaction, Sharewire will send the product to your customer's mobile phone.

We are not a wireless portal. You sell the applications yourself from your own site(s). We handle payment and distribution for you. Our service is 100% free. We deliver to any phone on any network.

Visit www.sharewire.net to see what we can do for you.

    Best regards,

So you don't have any carrier contacts and developers have to advertise their games themselves?
And you provide payment hadling only

Does it work in all countries?

Yes, the developer has to advertise his own products. Our idea is that many developers are actually quite good in selling their own products, see the shareware market.

We have premium SMS and IVR numbers in Europe: UK, The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark and Spain.

Payment and delivery through credit card and PayPal works worldwide.

Our system is very straightforward to use...just upload your content (JAD/JAR, SIS, etc), set the prices per country, and you're ready. We pay out within 30 days.

Free payment handling is really nice and beneficial to developers like me. But, what's the catch?

Well, the "catch" is simple. Sharewire earns a percentage of every sale you make (our pay-out is 80%). However, because we buy-in premium SMS and IVR at huge amounts, this 80% in most cases is more than you would receive if you would buy a premium SMS / IVR system yourself.

Sounds like a very neat idea. Payment is usually one of the biggest issues to solve. Although, judging from experience in the local market, SMS-based distribution is the main way.

This leads to the next question. Are you planning to expand the SMS service area? Finland?

So, to double-check, with SMS-based distribution, users receive charges on their regular phone bill, and after sending the SMS they get sent a download link, right?

Yes, we are planning to extend our service to the rest of Europe (Portugal, Finland, Ireland, etc) in the next 4 months.

And yes, the customer will see the amount on his phone bill and the customer will receive a WAP push message to download the software.
