    Hi,

I use the Nokia Dev Suite as Standalone to create Midlets MIDP 1 and 2 for many devices N 3650, N6600, P900, Mot V525. You should install it and read the users guide to check how to compile and create the midlet.

    That's correct. javax.microedition.lcdui.game is MIDP 2.0 package

You'll have to develop for MIDP 2.0 phones, or you'll have to find a way of not using MIDP 2.0 features

try developping using wireless toolkit 1.04.
It only contains the MIDP 1.0 API, so you are sure to have no surprise.

Of course there is. You've got keyboard input and paint() routine to paint on screen, you can program everything else yourself

I'd advice you to write your own classes similar to found in MIDP 2.0. This will allow for using design that is considered being convenient
