MIDI file or MIDI mime-type in MMS for Nokia 6600?

I wish for all kind time for twenty four hours!

I'm end-user of Nokia 6600. Can anyone explain how is working function of adding midi mime-types in MMS for Nokia 6600?

I'd looked through the forum and read "Nokia Phone Messaging Characteristics" (ver. 1.5; Oct 29, 2003, 2.4 Developer Platform for Series 60) so I'd discovered that problem in protected content mime-type.

    I have questions:
    1. Now I want to understand: if I was created specially midi-file without *copyright* and want to send it to my friends in MMS - how can I do this?
    2. What is protected: mime-type (all midi files) or file (which content *copyright*)?

I waiting for answers from specialists with impatience!

    Best regards

I believe the answer to your question is that the MIDI MIME type is what is on the protected list, but for all I know, either MIME type OR file extension may be used to determine whether or not a file is a MIDI tone.

I guess in other words I just have to say I'm not sure. You're welcome to experiment, and let the boards know what you find out.

    Hi there everyone!!!

As I'd understood: all midi files (mime type) is under protection and I can't send it to my friends in any case?

I'd experimented and discovered that wav files is under protection too. But in "Nokia Phone Messaging Characteristics" (ver. 1.5; Oct 29, 2003, 2.4 Developer Platform for Series 60) writed that I can recive and send wav files. Is this mistake at Nokia forum's documentation? (for example: I try to add "HOUSE LOOP.wav" file which size is 40Kb)

Can I send soever any audio files in MMS by Nokia 6600 barring .amr files recorded by smartphone?

It's very uncomfortable to send MMS to my friends without nice music!!!

Can Nokia 6600 developers fix problems with audio in MMS?

Best regards, Imperator of the Universe.

Hmmm - interesting -- thanks for pointing this out.

Seems that if you RECEIVE an MMS with wav file, you can forward that message, but wavs are not allowed when trying to compile a message from scratch.

How would you like to see that described in the "Nokia Phone Messaging Characteristics" document tables?

(Make a suggestion that you think would make it most clear, because there clearly is a problem here.)
