    Does CEikComboBox have any observers?

CEikComboBox does not appear to have an observer type. So how do I know when the user has selected an item from the popout? I can't observe the popout list either, because apparently it is non-NULL only when PopupDisplayed() returns true. Any help?

This problem, in addition to the awful flashing behavior when I type into the edwin, is making me strongly consider writing a combo widget from scratch.

    thx

I finally found a partial solution to my problem. Subclassing CEikComboBox allows me to override HandleControlEventL. When this method is called, iPopout is non-NULL and I can query the current selection.
