Can i read that information from the screen or through some functions.

please dont refer to the discussion on CellID with 40 replies.

All i want is how to read the current location information which is displayed on phone all the time.

What do you mean by "The current location is displayed on mobile phones all the time." - it's not on my phone.

The only thing I've ever seen on the idle screen is the CellID - but obviously that's not what you're talking about.

So... I suggest you explain what you mean by the location that's "displayed ... all the time" and then maybe someone will be able to help you.

    Maybe Cell Broadcast

In some countries this kind of information is supplied by cell broadcast. But sadly cell broadcast has the same problem as the Cell-Id. There is no public API to read it.
