    switching views, without using containers

i've created 2 views, one is using with containers (inherit CAknView) and other is without the usage of containers (inherit CCoeControl).

I need to switch from view1 to view2 and then back to view1.

    Thanks alot.....

    Hi

you have plenty of possibilities here.

First option would be that you could construct CAknView for all Containers (CCoeControl derived classes) and switch the views.

In second option you could remove the View from from one of your classes and make the whole app to use CCoeControl derived containers strait in AppUi class.

Inm third option you would put all CCoeControl derived containers in your view and switch them in side it, similarly as you would do in AppUi using the second option.

Anyway also remember to select Right base classes for Appui for which ever option you go with, since using wrong base class can efect on you menu/softkey drawing.

Actually i m using the socket example given with series 60 sdk in my app and my app contains lot s of view derived from aknview.
But the socketsappview is derived from cceocontrol.
