newbie question: how to start a new application inside an application

    Hi,

I am new on series 60 development, and I have some basic question.

I created a listbox, and I want to start new applications when user select list items. Can someone help me on how to implement this or point me to right direction?

    Thanks

Maybe I am wrong at the beginning. If it can be done in one application, it should be easier. Now my question is, if I select one of the list item, I want to bring up a new view. Can anyone help on this. Thanks in advance

    Hi

Basically you could implement the offer key function for your listbox container and handle EKeyDevice3 key there (middle button in arrow or OK button). Basically there you would call the function opening the new view/app.

You could also handle in menu options in your command handlers to call the same functio as well if needed.

Then in youir function you would check the selected item with listboxes CurrentItemIndex()-fucntion. (gives you index from zero to count()-1).

Then see these for launching apps:

For activating views see SDK docs & examples.
