    How to create a backed-up window

    Hi

    I have a parent control that owns a CEikRichTextEditor for drawing his data. I want to create a bitmap of that control. I started with creating a backed-up window for the parent control. This is the code that I used in the constructor:

    RWsSession iWs;
    User::LeaveIfError(iWs.Connect());
    RWindowGroup iGroup = RWindowGroup(iWs);
    CreateBackedUpWindowL(iGroup);
    iWs.Close();

    I don't know very much about creating backed-up windows... so the code above always crashes :-/

    Can anybody give me some clues, sample code, etc?...

    thanks

    How to create a backed-up window

    Hey,

    You need to use the window group associated with your application not create a new one. You can get it by calling the RootWin() method of CEikonEnv class. Then it should work.
