Path or file name too long

I am trying to compile the example project polymorphic DLLS in EPoc32Ex/System/DLLs on Nokia 9200 SDK v 1.2. I have Windows NT 4.0 service pack 6 and MSVC++ 6.0 (no service pack). I get the error shown below. The hello world example from Basics compiles and runs OK.

I think this is either Perl error or VC++ error. Couldn't find the error message rom VC++ documentation. The code U1077 is the nmake failure error.

Could anybody help me with this?

RE: Path or file name too long

I reinstalled the SDK directly under C: and now it works (default installation path). Maybe the recommended sp3 of MSVC 6.0 would allow to use longer pahtnames?
