    MIDP/CLDC does not support JNI

MIDP/CLDC does not support/Impl the native JNI interface.
    Please read the MIDP/CLDC specification.

right now its not possible as has been said..the reverse is possible though..where u can have a Symbian app and it can talk to the J2ME application..
but i think sun has come up with a file API which can let u access databases and all..but i dont think any phone has implementation for that as yet..probably in the next feature pack.Nokia will put that provision which will be sometime mid of next year..
