I have an IBM Thinkpad laptop with an Intel PRO/100 VE ethernet controller onboard, onto which I installed the Series60 SDK + the Ethernet plugin + the SIP plugin. I have a SIP application that works fine on my desktop PC, but I could not set it up on the laptop. My app running on the Series60 emulator just won't communicate with the Nokia SIP Server Emulator.
I figured that if I install an other ethernet card to the PCMCIA slot (TrendNET TE100-PCBUSR), the whole stuff just works fine with that LAN card.
Any ideas why doesn't the built in LAN controller work, while the PCMCIA LAN does? Does it have anything to do with "promiscuous mode"?
Thanks in advance.
