    Remote Debug BorlandX and 6600

    Hi,

I really need to get the remote debugging working between C++BuilderX and 6600. I've searched the forum, but I couldn't find someone who got it working.
The gdbs delivered with the Builder can' be installed on any S60 device I've tried.
Followed the instructions in the Borland Help documents but without luck.

    Can somebody please help?

    Thanks

    Arne

I have been using the device debugger some-what-succesfully with 3660 at least.
So what is the excat problem, what happens when you try installing the application ?

    Hi Yucca,

strange things happening: I've switched the language of the mobile to english, to tell you the error message, but I could install the gdbstub and runstub and both are working.

I get this error message from Borland when I try to compile:

make[1]: *** No rule to make target `..\..\..\SYMBIAN\7.0S\SERIES60_V20\EPOC32\RELEASE\ARMI\UDEB\EDLL.LIB', needed by `..\..\..\SYMBIAN\7.0S\SERIES60_V20\EPOC32\RELEASE\ARMI\UDEB\TEST_21.APP'. Stop.

Can you tell me what is missing?

    Thanks Arne

SOLVED! The hole ARMI UDEB folder was empty, there were no libs, don't know why.
Now I'm trying to get the connection between PC and Mobile to work....

well, it seems to me that in SDKs you have usually just these available:
wins (udeb/urel), armi urel, thumb urel...
These armi/thumb udeb probably no one thought as being important..:-)
