    GNU development environment

    Hello,

I have just installed the the s60_sdk. As I have seen there are gcc related stuffs under the epoc library. So are there any possibility to develop Symbian applications with GNU tools? If yes, where informations can be found about it?
What does epoc mean? Is it an other name of Symbian or is it a hardware architecture?

    Greetings,
    hoyuka

    Hi,

there are tools for developing under Linux. I am also interested in, so If you will test it, please put some info into this forum.

    For start try:
    http://www.ki-ag.de/pages/tech/Symbi..._on_linux.html

    http://gnupoc.sourceforge.net/

and offical but may be out dated info from symbians:

    http://www3.symbian.com/faq.nsf/0/24...E?OpenDocument

Anad EPOC is old name for Symbian.

    Hello,

Thanks for the fast response. Currently I haven't got linux on my machine (maybe have, but WinXP has overwritten the bootloader), and I would like to do the work on WinXP (because my gf uses that and I don't like to reboot the machine frequently). I will look the mentioned links but I don't think I'll try them in the near future.

    Greetings,
    hoyuka
