    Nokia D211 - hiding user interface elements

    When I try to hide the icon in the status bar programmatically using Req_PopUI_ShowTrayIcon(hIPC, FALSE), the icon disappears for about one second and then returns. Is this really intentional? (Win XP)

    Does anyone know how to avoid that the 'Select connection' dialog pops up when the card is inserted? It is really annoying. I can't find any functions for that in the SDK.

    Regards, Stig Sandnes

    RE: Nokia D211 - hiding user interface elements

    If you want to disable the tray icon permanently, you should use the following function:

    Req_CtlMib_SetBool (hIPC, MIB_CTL_SET_USETASKBARICON, FALSE);

    This will disable the tray icon.

    The Req_PopUI_ShowTrayIcon (hIPC, FALSE); hides the tray icon, but not permanently.

    You can turn off the "Select connection" dialogue in the Manager UI/Settings/General - 'Do not estabilish network connection automatically'.

    Or with code:
    Req_CtlMib_SetBool (hIPC, MIB_CTL_SET_SHOWPROFILEONSTARTUP, FALSE);
