I want to create a Alert without commands attached to it, for use in communication. (e.g. "please wait, sending message")

According to the MIDP specification adding a command and a new listener removes the default OK command. I could live with that as I could just show an simple command that didn't have any functionality behind it.

But on the nokia 6600 i'm using, the OK command is always displayed, and handled by the OS. Even if i add another Command.OK and catches the commandaction the alert will close if i select the OK command :-(

It works on the emulator but on the phone it seems impossible to make the alert stay on screen without giving the user an option of closing it.

Anyone got a workaround for this?
(I'm close to not using alerts at all, because of all the other problems with Alerts on the nokia 6600)
