    Nokia 9500 Comparison with others

    Dear Friends,

    Need your help urgently...

I recently booked Nokia 9500, but at the same time I'm little confuse before I make 100% payment next week.

Can any of you provide me complete comparison between Nokia 9500 / O2XDA IIs / SonyErricson P910 & Treo 650

The main reason why I selected Nokia 9500 is due to keyboard.. I'm more use rather using stylus.

Your early response will be appreciated.

    Warm regards,
    Gaurav Kejriwal.

I personally prefer the 9500 to the others as it is an all in one unit but mainly as I use the Fax option. This alone should win hands down, with internet browsing, sending and receiving emails with attachments, viewing all document formats including Pdf files and zipping and unzipping files.....the list goes on...Oh and don't forget the Bluetooth.

    Regards
    Bob

    COMAPRISON !

    I had a P900 and swapped it for a N9500.

    The N9500 lacks:

    1. NO vibrator
    2. NO voice recognition
    3. NO T9 text input
    4. NO spell checker
    5. LOOSE latch
    6. VERY SLOW application loading.
    7. NO live update
    7. NOKIA SUPPORT a disadvantage.

Sonyericsson replies to emails within 24 hours, they are amaising. HOWEVER, if you want a KEYBOARD, YOU DO NOT HAVE A CHOICE YET.

You are better off with the new IMATE, it has a small keyboard as well as WIFI, the SE P910 does not have WIFI.

Or, I am sure SE will make something good soon. I think a lot of communicator 9500 owners are dreading the day they baught it.

    Good Luck

    Hello,

Gaurav! Simbian OS is best for cell-phones and PDAs.
I had Palm XDAII and have also tried several similar others. The OS are very unstable and I needed to reset the instrument very oftenly. If the data storage is high, the phone with Win CE and other such OS have processing problems, making the phone slower. It hangs very often.

Whereas, Nokia 9500 and 9300 have very sturdy OS. Even if doesn't respond, leave it for 5 mins, it will recover everything and in last over 1 year i have used this phone, I never needed to reset.

Ofcourse the keyboard and wide-view screen is a boon for 95 and 9300.

The only disadv is the outside-message composer doesn't have T9. It makes it tedious to write small message while driving. Obviously one can't use keyboard when driving.
