Does anyone know if there is any intention to produce a car holder for this phone, the advanced carkit is provided suggesting that one maybe available, but as its generic, this might be missleading.

Also the transmit audio seems a little dissapointing, we have tried several possitions for the microphone, but to no avail as yet. Finally, has anyone found a way to make the voice tags work in this format. It just doesnt accept any information or dials an incorrect number.

It (the "Advanced Car Kit", is compatible, but without a phone holder, it seems (i.e., it works wirelessly using Bluetooth):

All the supported car kits are here:

The 616 might be the most user-friendly as it has its own display:

Yes, that was my question, will a phone holder be available, or are you expected to let it fly around the dashboard.

You need the phone display to check the voice activated number is calling the correct number. It seems Nokia may not have tried this is practice themselves.

Its a great phone, with as usual lots of added and useful features, but forget it mobile, unless a holder is produced.

With the 616 you could leave your phone in your pocket or bag and the car kit's display would display who's calling (no need to have the phone fly around the car).

Very good, but how are you supposed to dial a number. or select from your list of favorite contacts. Have you ever tried voice recog in a car when several names having work or mobile office numbers. It always picks the wrong one. You still need a small amount of manual control, whatever, and this isnt catered for without a phone holder / Pop pocket.

The other point being, with no pop pocket, you cannot attach an external antenna, which if you live in a rural area, you need. With a pocket you would be able to use a inductive coupling link, as used with other Nokia's, to increase your usability.
