NOKIA 12 as an USB modem

    Hello all

how is it possible to take full advantage of EDGE class 6 on the N12? It can have up to 3 serial ports, but everyone one of them is limited only to 115kbps. How can I use the N12 for example to download up to 200kbps in EDGE networks (possibly via USB interface) ?

    Thanks

    Hi,

To achieve full benefits from EDGE you have to use USB.
Nokia 12 is EDGE class 2 ( up to 118kbps).
Nokia 12i is EDGE class 6 with which you shouls acheive speed up to ~150kbps.
We have achieved download speed up to 15KB/s.
You can use a USB/RS232 adapter or ready Nokia 12 USB terminals like:

N12 can communicate with 230 kbps in AT-modem mode through port1 (you must use autobauding for this).
Only thing - not every PC has high speed serial ports. In this case USB can be used.
