    RE: backlight

    Hi,

    Currently there is no public API for setting the backlight of both N9200 Communicators and N7650 image phones directly. Even one could use the HAL::Set(HAL::EBacklightState, 1) but since this may conflict with the system settings and timers, the use of this method is not recommended.
    As a workaround, you can generate a "case open" even to trigger the blacklight periodically (use a timer), implement the code below and call it periodically:

    void CMyApp::CTriggerBacklight()
    {
    User::ResetInactivityTime();
    iMyTimer->After(10000000); // about 10 second pariod
    }

    or alternatively:

    void CMyApp::CTriggerBacklight()
    {
    TRawEvent event;
    event.Set(TRawEvent::ECaseOpen);
    UserSvr::AddEvent(event);
    iMyTimer->After(10000000); // about 10 second pariod
    }

    vphong,
    Is there a way to prevent the backlight from turning on or turing the backlight off immediately after it turns on? HAL::Set() is not supported (EErNotSupported) when I run my application on a Nokia 3650. Thanks.
