    Unhappy handling key event

I am using a OfferKeyEvent in my view class.
could someone pls let me know what EStdKeyDevice3 stands for.
It has been used in a sample code provided in this site.
The help files say that it is a device specific scan-code.
What does that mean and when can i use it.

    Regards
